He specializes in everything paranormal and unusual and he's also something of an accidental interdimensional traveler after getting stuck between dimensions for 30 years.





He's a little out of the loop. For those familiar with canon, his canon point 2x12 "A Tale of Two Stans", right after Mabel and Dipper are sent to bed so he'll be looking as if he stepped right out of the matrix.
