Given that we have so many new players, this is going to be an OOC coordination post! I know some people haven't gotten a chance to join the resistance, and since it's unfair of me to control everything / I'm unable to keep up with everything Dean would be doing ICly / I want everyone to be able to get involved if they want to, this is going to be your chance!

Basically, all you have to do is comment below with the characters you want involved in the resistance!

Muns who are already involved, if your character has cr or is likely to recruit those characters, please comment to them! I don't mind if you guys handwave the interaction, thread it out, I don't mind if you want to assume River sent your character to Dean and you don't even post here, honestly, it's all free game, I just know a lot of people want actual concrete IC reasoning behind how they were able to get involved in the resistance and so let's try and make that happen!

YouuuuuUUUuuuu probably already guessed this, but Athos wants in because if he has to sit around and do nothing he will go stir-crazy. He can help Cas with Tactics/Strategy? It's basically his jam in the film/books, planning things and being dashed clever about it.

Also Evelyn is a professional smartypants if you require that sort of thing.

Okay, so! Giles isn't much of a team player anymore, but this is totally his beat. He wants to figure this place, dammit. And it'll make a nice change that people are actually trying to do something about the supernatural. It's entirely feasible he could ask around and come across the resistance and find someone involved to ask from there. He's good on initiative.

And he's got a lot of fighting knowledge, and can later kick in some magic knowledge, so he's flexible on where he can be to do the most good. I think he'd want to be hands-on, but if he's better served somewhere else, he would be totally okay with that. Giles is good at being a cog in the machine.

also he can offer bullshit rune magic and fiiiiirrrreeee along with general mad combat skillz, he could probably help train people to fight if they're willing to take orders from a bratty sixteen year old.

I would actually like to get Crowley involved for serious, though. He's been hanging onto a lot of the fringes and trying to worm his way in with a lot of these characters, anyway, and acting like a very upstanding citizen.

Sephiroth is definitely cut out for this kind of thing; the man has command experience and one of the best military minds of his canon. He might be a little hesitant to join initially just for being so new to Wonderland, but if it's something Zack mentions he'll likely be on board.

OOCly, I'm going into a pretty demanding week and change leading into and through the upcoming holiday, and a con the week after that. So my time is a bit light right now, although I am always up for backtagging and handwaving things where necessary.

Okay, so I feel really dumb for asking this, I guess my excuse is that I'm a really new newbie, sob. But could someone explain what the Resistance is? Just from the word it sounds like something that Ianto might get involved in but having no idea I'm just looking at his post and being like "whoa".

It's basically a loose group of proactive citizens that are putting together plans to get more information about Wonderland and perhaps prevent people from getting hurt during events and things, hehe.

They have a secret hideout and everything. /o/ There should be some newer links available in more recent posts. \o\

Yep! Their primary goals are:

1. Getting home
2. Being proactive about discovering Wonderland's secrets
3. Finding a way to dethrone the Queen
4. Coordinating to survive events

So my characters are both terrible arse beans who do not care about the resistance one bit, BUT if it would be IC for Dean to mention it to Philip at some point in a thread then that would be awesome sauce. No hurry (or pressure, if it feels like he wouldn't), I think I'd just love for one of them to at least actually know that such a thing exists.

Daryl is definitely in. He'll help out wherever he's needed, whether it's training people to shoot or track, fighting if he has to, pretty much anything that isn't research, medical, or magic. Probably not great for recruiting unless people make a pretty awesome impression during an event, but I won't say it's impossible even if he isn't a people person by any means.

I think Balthazar is going to want to keep track of the resistance, but I'm not sure he'll want to consider himself directly involved. He hates choosing sides.

So maybe he can be halfway in the loop, and if Dean or Cas or someone else wants him for something specific, he may be game for it.
