Mr. Meltzer is a wonderful older gentleman Evie can look up to, because as a scholar he seems quite accomplished with the amount of research he's dredged up while in Wonderland. She finds his conspiracy theories utterly fascinating and intriguing, given her time period of origin and how lacking it is in governmental cover-ups, and she adores plying him with questions about the future.
