Terezi's adoration for Dave is ridiculous. She gets really attached to people who act all tough to cover themselves up, which hey, look it's Dave and Karkat. She gets attached because she likes trying to figure them out and getting them to open up, and honestly, most of those types of people are very, very, good. Which Terezi can see.

She likes how Dave plays along with her shenanigans-- that's what made her want to be friends with him in the first place (outside of the inherent need to pry into the tough types). Even though the John v. Dave competition over who would be better was mostly in Vriska's head, Terezi does feel some level of responsibility to get Dave prepared for SBURB, which translates into Entranceway as well.

That feeling is what prompted her palecrush, and now that they both realized that holy cow they need someone to stop the other if shit goes down again, or at the very least, someone to watch each other's backs, that palecrush is a goddamn moirallegiance. She's a little wary on whether or not humans actually understand the emotions behind being moirails, but hey, it's worth a try right? She's never really had a moirail before, and whatever. Let's do this thing.
