Miguel thinks Dave is a nice young man. He'll keep an eye on him as long as he's anywhere near Jade, of course, but he seems like he's a nice enough person. And he speaks Spanish! :D

Beiste knows Dave's only thirteen, just like Terezi, and that's the main reason why she's going to forgive him so quickly for what happened during the Rabbit Doubt event. In all honesty it was probably harder on him than it was on the people he killed, and she'd sooner support him through it than assume it's something he's capable of doing again.

The Rabbit Doubt event made John realize that there's a lot more going on behind those sunglasses than he'd really thought about. Sure, he suspected Dave had some emotions, but the flood he got to see-- the jealousy, the pain, the frustration? It was shocking, and it made John realize he had some issues on his side of the relationship to deal with too. Oddly enough, seeing these raw emotions both during and after the event probably just made him draw even closer to Dave. It might sound weird, but it's kind of satisfying to make Dave drop the poker face, even for a little while. Overall, Dave is one of John's bestest friends, and John would risk his life for him over and over if need be.

As per request, Mirror John on the Daves.

Mirror John thinks regular Dave is pretty, of course, but he's so STIFF and kind of a DICK and there's also the problem with him being on the other side of the mirror and shit. What a douche, he wants two Daves!

Mirror John is actually quite enamored with Mirror Dave, if only because he's the first person who's actually tried to help him rather than just...yelled at him. And while he's still kind of a sugar addict and a douchebag, he's less so when his boyfriend is around. He wants Mirror Dave to like him back, and at the moment he's not quite sure how to do that.
