Zuko is very frustrated and honestly, kind of depressed because of Katara's hesitation to forgive him. He doesn't mind her company at all, and views her as a kindred spirit because of their shared mommy issues. He just wishes he could do something else to get her to trust him.
He's also worried about saying/doing something stupid to piss her off and make her hate him again. :(
