He's from a point in canon where his crush was just starting to be on shaky ground, because things were NOT GOING AS PLANNED with Kurt's brilliant "hooking up their parents" plan.
Stop bonding with my Daaaaad B'(That was starting to kill that crush a bit, but now all of a sudden Finn shows up and they're brothers? And he's even nicer? And Kurt's dreams are all eventually going to come true? He can't help but think that things will go as planned anyway, even if they got off to a rough start. He's probably just deluding himself, but either way he's still really glad to have Finn around. ♥
