Tim likes Santana more than he will ever admit. Even to himself. And not just cuz she puts out, which is also nice, but he actually enjoys talking to her. Because he's all about the snarking and sexual innuendo. BUT, he's also terrified that she'll find out about Masky, so he's torn between: yay happy fun girlfriend times, and keeping his distance so she NEVER. EVER. KNOWS. EVER.

Because he's kinda emotionally fragile and would totally cry if she left him. Not that he'd ever admit that.
