+ Christmas Event +
Hello everyone, and season's greetings!
First of all, for a bit of OOC Christmas fun, I'd like to point you over to our fanworks community, where there is a Christmas fanworks meme going on! Please feel free to post your own requests and answer those of others! Ho, ho, ho! ♥
The second order of business is a Christmas-based event for the characters, based around the well-know, really long Christmas carol, "The Twelve Days of Christmas". The event will last twelve days, from Sunday, December 14th to Thursday, December 25th, with new things being added each day, so don't fret if you've missed a day - everything remains until the event is over. Things will be really crazy by Christmas Day. If your characters aren't driven insane by then, there will be something special for them on the twelfth day.
On the first day of Christmas (12/14), the mansion gave to me:
A Partridge in a Pear Tree A very large pear tree will have grown out of the floor. Regardless of the weather outside, the tree is sprouting fresh, ripe fruit. It will be decorated for Christmas with garland and lights, and if one ventures a bit closer, they will find an ornament in the shape of each mansion guest hanging from the branches, showing the face they most often make (for example, Fakir's might look like ">>" or ">/", but Kobato's may look more like ":D"). Careful though - you don't want to startle the single partridge that has taken residence in the branches.
On the second day of Christmas(12/15), the mansion gave to me:
Two Turtledoves Small birds will be flying about the mansion, very friendly little snow-white doves that like to fly into people's rooms when the door is left open and perch on the highest spots available. Interestingly though, these birds only seem to travel in pairs, and will not fly away from each other. If you are kind to them, they may sing in unison, but some may recognize their calls as one song in particular...as it goes to the tune of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
On the third day of Christmas(12/16), the mansion gave to me:
Three French Hens Continuing our theme of birds, there will be large red hens in flocks of three strutting about the mansion. they are not nearly so curious as the turtledoves, however, as they are hens and they will do as they please, even if it means getting in your way to do it. Even if you have bread for them, they are very very picky - they will only nibble on French bread crumbs. They are snooty, stuck up hens, who will be very difficult to please.
On the fourth day of Christmas (12/17), the mansion gave to me:
Four Calling Birds When walking through the halls, you may hear someone call your name. At first, it will be from seemingly nowhere, but then there it is again, screeched out. You turn, and there they are, four black birds perched up rather high. They peer down at you, and call your name again, all four of them. Careful, for if they catch your attention, they will refuse to leave you alone, following you and calling out after you. That is, until they find someone else to call instead.
On the fifth day of Christmas (12/18), the mansion gave to me:
Five Golden Rings In the kitchen, in the middle of the floor, will be a very large carousel. The horses, all in red, green, and gold, are all bound to the carousel, moving up and down with the festive music (an instrumental version of the 12 Days of Christmas, over and over), but they move on their own and interact as though they are really alive. If you go down to the kitchen and move too close to the carousel, you will find yourself on one of the horses all of a sudden, though you are sure it never once slowed for you, and it does not seem to be stopping...how does one get off then? Why, this is an older carousel, it seems, with gold rings to be caught. When a rider snatches five rings, they will be released, and their horse will gently ride right off of the carousel, moving up and down in whatever direction it pleases. The only way off is to catch five rings.
On the sixth day of Christmas (12/19), the mansion gave to me:
Six Geese A-Laying Just when you thought you'd had enough irritable birds, geese begin to show up in swarms of six. While the hens are merely snobby, the geese are actually quite mean. Each of the groups of geese are guarding a basket, and will attack anyone who comes near it, rather viciously. "Near" is a rather relative term though...if there is a group of geese on a floor, and they see you all the way across the hall, they will chase right after you and make sure you keep away from their precious nests. Anyone who gets past the geese will be rewarded, however - it seems they are guarding very large, chocolate eggs wrapped in gold foil.
On the seventh day of Christmas (12/20), the mansion gave to me:
Seven Swans A-Swimming Oh dear, I hope you residents on the seventh floor and above weren't planning on going downstairs anytime soon...or, at least I hope you can swim well. The entire seventh floor, including that portion of the stairwell, seems to have become a still body of water, complete with pond plants. Careless people who try and walk on the water will find that it is actually quite deep, at least seven feet. A flock of seven swans will be making laps, gracefully, though they will be sure to take time to mock the fools who fall in. In order to go downstairs, you must swim to the stairwell (or, awkwardly cling to the wall and pull yourself along, alternatively). Once in the stairwell, if you dive down, you will come out on the other side, at floor six.
On the eighth day of Christmas (12/21), the mansion gave to me:
Eight Maids A-Milking All over the mansion, people may catch glimpses of eight young women in smocks, and long blond braids. They will not speak to you though - they have a job to do, after all! Though they may giggle at you a bit, and run off, looking for something. Some people may find some rather unwelcome guests have taken residence in their rooms, however. It seems the milk maids are missing their dear cows, and these cows really rather like the accommodations of all your rooms. They are very friendly cows as well, happy to moo right in your face and get into your things. If you take good care of your cow though, or if you return it to a milk maid, you will find yourself rewarded with a bottle of fresh, cold milk by your door.
On the ninth day of Christmas (12/22), the mansion gave to me:
Nine Ladies Dancing Throughout the mansion, there will be nine young women, much like the milk maids in that they do not speak, but merely giggle at amusing things. They are wearing long dresses, three in red, three in green, and three in gold, and they do not walk. No, for them every movement is a dance or a twirl. They are very friendly and mischievous girls though, even if they’re a bit quiet. Without pausing in their dances, they are happy to pull in people passing by, dragging them along for a dance. They will let them go eventually though, laughing and twirling off. They will become even more cheerful towards the end of the event, when they have music to accompany them.
On the tenth day of Christmas (12/23), the mansion gave to me:
Ten Lords A-Leaping The tenth day brings ten silent young men, all dressed as nutcrackers. Much like the nine ladies dancing, these men cannot stop moving, though they are slowly leaping all across the mansion, easily rising very high, all the way to the ceiling in any given room. They also like to take unsuspecting people along for the ride, but they are more like the calling birds in that they will not leave you alone until someone else comes along.
On the eleventh day of Christmas (12/24), the mansion gave to me:
Eleven Pipers Piping And thus begins the never-ending music. On the eleventh day, all over the mansion, anonymous pipers will be walking around, playing the Twelve Days of Christmas without taking so much as a breath. They walk around, so there will be no place that is completely safe, if you are looking for peace and quiet, and nothing will stop them from piping.
On the twelfth day of Christmas (12/25), the mansion gave to me:
Twelve Drummers Drumming The day will begin with a drum roll very early in the morning, to wake everyone up, and then the drummers will join the pipers in their song. As people wander downstairs, they will find that there are many presents beneath the pear tree. Each person has one present from the mansion - and that present is one special item from their world, something that they would not be able to ask the closets for normally. Perhaps it is an item of importance to you that was left in your bedroom when you were taken, or something that reminds you of something you love, or maybe even something so simple as cookies baked just like your mother did when you were a child, or something you lost. Feel free to ask if you’re not sure if something can be used or not!
Have fun, everyone! Feel free to ask questions here if you have any. ♥

But knowing the mansion, we wouldn't end up with TYL!Lambo, we'd end up with a bunch of 5-year-old Lambos running around.
And that's terrible.

lolol Lambo. That's a funny mental image. He's the only one I know from Reborn, and only because we had one here for a little bit once. :3
