Hiatus

July is the month of vacation. I am going to the International Double Reed Society Convention in Utah (have a strawberry if you know what that is) and so I will be gone from today (July 20) at 10 PST until July 28th or 29th (the 29th is my birthday~). I will take my computer, but I'll be busy in the evenings with concerts and such.

So Kaylee will be doing.... cheerful things. I dunno. Right when Simon gets off hiatus, too.  Anwyay, I'll see you all in nine days.

I played clarinet for a good.......little over 10 years or so, and bass clarinet for about 4.

Bass clarinet's fun, unless you're doing songs like Russian Christmas Music (SO MANY WHOLE NOTES TIED TOGETHER) or Sleigh Ride (where all you play is quarter notes).

Oh, but I love Russian Christmas Music. Alfred Reed was a genius. (Plus, I got to play the English Horn solo on a really nice English Horn) But it's also a really great piece, I love the beginning.

My favorite song ever is still Godzilla Eats Las Vegas. It's such a fun and hilarious song. Everyone needs to play it at some point.

Yeah, he wrote it. I sorta got to meet him a couple months ago after a choir concert a friend was in. I wanted to stand there and go, "WHOO! GODZILLA!" Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, I didn't. XD
