Me again~

Haru again with her second app spree character. Meet the "Time Lady" Jenny. Actually we're not quite sure how time lord she is just yet. She didn't regenerate. All the same she's the Doctor's genetic daughter, and she can kick your ass. (But she'll try something else first.)

Jenny is all of about three days old and wants to take up the same rout as her dad, she's an adventurer who wants to help people, save planets and do a whole lot of running. Because of the event she'll be coming in a boy, but she's actually a very lovely girl ~~Who seriously looks like a cross between ten and Romana~~

I love her to bits and bits. This is the first season that I'm actually anticipating the episodes. I refused to follow the other companions, and eight was just ... eugh.

She's hard though because she's got so few lines and stuff. I hope I'm doing her justice.

I saw the trailer, and I really didn't think I'd like her. Then I had to resist the urge to app her directly after the episode. Which is fine- I like playing opposite her anyway. I'm glad I get to with Jack now, 'cause I've only got to with Ianto so far.

And I can't believe how awesome Donna is this series. She sort of bugged me in the Christmas special (which annoyed me, 'cause I hate not liking companions). But this series... I love it all!

I'm sure you will- and if you're too worried Jenny's already been apped by a ton of people around, so you could always look around and see which ones you think work/don't work?

I was stoked! I can't help it. After finding out that she was also five's real daughter I just geeked. I actually ended up apping her because I'm trying to con Leo into taking up Donna. Well, that and I adore her.

That was why I stopped watching for the first three seasons. I didn't like the companions at all and the plot lines didn't seem Who-ish to me. It felt like something different. This season really feels like the series though. Especially with how Donna actually does stuff all the time. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty with giant alien goo, and she's helping the Doctor get back his Doctorness by not being an awestruck little girl.

I knew everyone and their brother would want to app her. She's snazzy, and the first time lady most of the fans have ever seen. Silly people never met Romana.

I know! I was like "OASDGHKGKLDSFJSDG PETER DAVIDSON'S DAUGHTHER!" And a Donna would be awesome. Very awesome.

I watched all these series. I liked the first, the second I got into after a few reruns. I actually liked the third, even though a lot of people didn't seem to. I really love this one, though. I wasn't actually looking forward to it that much, but now I'm really enjoying it. The storylines, the characters, and... pretty much everything. The only bit I didn't really like what they did to Martha... it didn't really seem Martha-ish. Especially not after her Torchwood run.

Silly people should meet Romana- she's a different kind of win than Jenny.

I just felt that the series was too centered on if the doctor was going to shag his companion and such. They didn't do that in the old days. The center was them getting into the thick of things and getting back out.

I actually liked Martha till she started to fawn over the Doctor. She had a good strong mind on her ... then it sort of went and came back for the last part of her gig.

I want the Brigadier. They mentioned him!!

It was- I don't want the days when the companion doesn't even touch the Doctor in case someone thought 'Ohhh- TARDIS!sex' back, but at the same time they sort of went overkill. With Rose it was fine, because one doesn't hurt. Same with Jack, 'cause... he's Jack, and that's just what he's like. But when it came to Martha it was kind of old. Especially with how much they seeemed to focus on that aspect of it. But now it's about the campy humour and adventure again, and I'm really glad to have that back.

Me too- even after I still liked her, but I was sort of annoyed. It was more how soldierish she suddenly became that got to me, though.

See, that was one thing I couldn't stand about Rose. It was as if they were trying to pull some star-crossed lovers stuff with her. I thought it was excessive overkill. As for Jack, well he's just fine. It was funny and great.

TARDIS!Sex was going on for ages! Hell, TIME LORD!Sex was even going around. How many people out there secretly shipped the Doctor and the Master?

I don't mind the idea of the Doctor in a relationship, but it has to be a beneficial one. Rose didn't do anything to help the Doctor do anything. She didn't seem to understand him at all. To be completely honest, I wouldn't mind him hooking up with Donna. She's got enough balls to not let it mess with the campy fun time, and, even if she were shagging him she'd still tell him he's full of crap.

I liked Martha a lot in 'The Doctor's Daughter'. It showed that she had really come into her own. Though that whole looking down at her ring stunt was overkill. She should have just walked.

The Brig is so much win! Someone needs to app him.

Do you remember Dax? He was from the Key to time arc.

Haha; I only started liking her after I saw a few people RPing her. Getting other peoples views on character perceptions/motivations does wonders for my own views on characters. I went off her a bit in S2, but I think S2 put me off a lot of people to be honest...

I know! And the fact that the no touching rule only applied to the Doc and girls meant people just slashed more-- like with the Master and the Doctor. If people didn't ship them they thought they were brothers.

I thought she understood him- I just don't think she did anything to deflate his ego. That's something I like to see in a companion. I mean, even though Ace completely idolised him and didn't really teach him much she still seemed to remind him of a few things. I think they tried to do something similar with Rose, only throwing in a romance aspect. And in all honesty I thought it worked much better with the student/teacher relationship.

I liked her in that-- I meant more along the lines of "The Sontaran Stratagem". I think they overplayed the fact she didn't rely the Doctor anymore in that and ended up making her a bit too standoff-ish.

They should! I've only ever played with one Brig, which is quite sad.

Yep! I loved Dax. I think Ainley!Master was my favourite Time Lord, though. And the Rani was my favourite Time Lady.

I only like her in RP. I think the players give her more depth. S2 (That's so weird to say since it's not really season 2) was really bad. I mean Tennent was so much better then Eckelson (Spelling these so badly), but the scripts were shit.

See, I think you can do ust rather well, Tom Baker and Lala Warde did it wonderfully. They were practically a married couple and they never touched. But yeah, it really did increase the "Hey! The Doctor is gay for the Master ... or any piece of male ass out there."

They did. I think they were trying to fix their own mistake and failed horribly.

That is sad! I could just see Jenny getting along with the Brig swimmingly!

NOT THE RANI! She was such win. I want them to find a way to bring the other time lords/ladies back. It's not the same without them. I swear the ones that weren't on the home planet are still alive somewhere.

The Rani, the last of the time ladies .... oh hell! Romana has to have survived somehow. The Rani repopulating the Time Lords scares me too much.
