A Spoonful of Fairy Dust Helps the Medicine Go-- Er, Wait

As you might have noticed on the journals, Vexen's been talking about running an experiment on a few things... specifically, fairy dust and how it gets you high reacts with a catalyst like positive and negative emotions to give one the temporarily ability to defy gravity. Since Tinkerbell has been happy enough to help out, Vexen should have been able to get the answers he needed and put an end to the matter, right...?

Right. Except that didn't turn out quite as planned.

Residents who are awake at 6 AM on [January 6th] might hear a muffled (and... tinkly-sounding?) explosion from the Mansion's basement. If they live on the first floor, they might notice some suspiciously pastel-colored smoke wafting up the stairwell; if they're in the vicinity of the clinic, they might just be in time to have something small, glowy, and cursing a blue streak shoot past them, nearly running into the wall.

Not exactly science at its finest-- and unfortunately for some residents of the mansion, they'll find themselves getting affected by this combination of chemistry and magic soon enough.

From 6AM, January 6, to 6PM, January 7, residents of the mansion may experience one of the following symptoms, brought on by the chemically-altered fairy dust.

1. Involuntary Levitation - What Goes Up, Must Come Down!
- If you've watched or read any incarnation of Peter Pan, this should be familiar. Your character acts as if they've been treated to an especially large dose of fairy dust, and the same rule of thumb applies: happy thoughts make you go up, sad thoughts bring you crashing down.
- Unfortunately, unlike Neverland, at best your characters can control what direction they fly in-- even the most fleeting thought can alter their altitude, so most residents will be bobbing up and down constantly. (Try not to get stuck on a high place when the magic runs out, won't you?)

2. Earthbound - Flap Flap Flapping My Albatross Wings
- Your character can't fly, but when they wake up, they'll be sporting a pair of wings-- wings that won't stop shedding sparkling dust (not fairy dust, perhaps thankfully, but if they stand too long in one place it tends to build up in piles of glitter around their feet), at that.
- While they come in assorted shapes and sizes, a few general rules for the wings apply-- for the most part, they resemble insect wings (so demonic or angelic wings are out) and they're about as delicate as they look-- it'll hurt to snag them on things. While they can be consciously moved (flapping and so on), your character won't be able to fly, not even if they're sprinkled with fairy dust. There's also the matter of finding clothes to accomodate them...

3. Minimize Me - You Are the Dancing Fairy Queen~
- Unfortunately for your character, they've been turned into a fairy-- quite literally. Suddenly they'll find themselves glowing, monochromatic and less than six inches high-- oh, and incapable of communicating except in tinkles. Out of all the symptoms, this is probably the most limiting, and your characters won't quite be themselves.
- Fairies are only capable of holding one emotion at a time, so your characters might feel a little bit odd (aside from noticing that they've, you know, suddenly gotten a lot smaller) as they remember having complex emotions, but can't experience them in their current state. Whether they notice this or not is up to you.
-Your character can fly, and use the network to communicate in proper words, but in speaking to people face-to-face, they'll only be able to 'speak' by making jingling noises, like a small bell. If they have any magical or supernatural abilities, they won't be able to use them; if they can summon a weapon, they won't be able to do that either.
+ ETA: Clarifying, just in case: fairies will be able to understand each other, but humans won't. :3

If you don't want your character to have anything to do with these symptoms, that's fine-- not all of the residents were affected by the dispersion of the fairy dust, so your characters can be perfectly normal and pleasantly confused and in an ideal position to mock those who were afflicted mercilessly, as a bonus.

If you have a non-humanoid character, uhhh... Well lets just say the idea of fairy lions and robots is something I find intensely amusing.

The magic will 'time out' on 6PM, January 7, wherever your characters are and whatever they're doing-- so have fun with putting them in awkward positions. Ask any questions/clarifications here!

ETA: (to be updated as questions come up)
Q: what kinda clothes will tiny fairies wear? Same clothes as usual, just shrunk? and what will happen to said clothes when returning to normal?
A: You could go for the KH2!Fairy feel (same outfits, just shrunk and simplified) or the Peter Pan!Fairy route (like Tink, just really simple bits of clothing). ex: with Vexen I'm going for the latter-- vest, shorts, stupid hat, and boots, all in blue. As for what happens to their clothes when they transform back: I'll leave that to the discretion of the muns, but don't go too wild with the hijinks from that. :3

You do not know how tempting this is for Zexion...Grah! Minato (from Persona, calm down) will be flying, Heather I still haven't decided, Ammy's gonna be tiny, or with wings...But Zexion is just too much fun to abuse.
