PUMPKIN CHUNKIN
Okay so some of you might have seen Mae's post last week about setting up a pumpkin chunkin competition. Now that it's closer to Halloween, I figure it's high time for a plotting post!
For anyone who isn't American or hasn't heard of the glorious sport of pumpkin chunking, it's pretty simple--you build some kind of launching device, and then you launch a pumpkin from it, and the farther it goes the more points you get. You also get points for style and design and how rad it is when the pumpkin explodes. The only real rule is that your pumpkin launcher has to be mechanical in nature, so you can't build a robot that throws pumpkins or anything electronic. And NO EXPLOSIVES (though if your pumpkin catches on fire or explodes in midair, you get bonus points, because Mae is Mae).
I'm aiming to have the post go up on the 27th, the Friday before Halloween. That might change if we end up having a Halloween event that weekend, in which case I can push it into early November. Right now, Mae, Mikan and Frank Castle are slated to be judges. Everyone else is encouraged to form teams to build pumpkin launchers, or to just do it solo.
Comment below if you think your character will be interested in participating, and to organize teams and launcher designs! Here's a pretty decent video on how the whole thing works and what sort of machines can be built.

Alphys is absolutely in on this; I don't have hard planning right now but she does intend to have a motion-induced incinerator in the pumpkin so it catches on fire, for style points and also because the pumpkin being on fire will make it lighter as it burns + it'll fly farther + get more lift from gas release. It's GOOD SCIENCE, BRENT
but she's so in on it if people want in on helping her make it she'd be more than happy to get the assistance

He's going to be creating a machine wherein he uses magic to wind it, but it is otherwise a traditional chunker. Likely a torsion style machine.
Also, because I am a horrible person, I am considering him ending up on the wrong end of the field, and taking a pumpkin to the head and not making it. >.> What? It's so he can learn his first death didn't count... also because it's funny.

Unfortunately, he learned of this on short notice so he can't build anything for the competition. Buuut he might weasel his way onto the judge's panel if he can. He's totally good at this.

A) Idiot, as previously stated.
B) If your Persona has a giant staff with which to hit things, why not.
Feel free to come monkey around with him! See what I did there. :')

Oma might have to give her some pointers in the art of judgement.
