Potential CR/club thing?

So! Due to several ic reasons, I might have Elena start a book club.

I was going to make a network post about it in January, but recent tag load doesn't make this feasible, so she could announce it later, or I can put up a log post in the near future and handwave the invitation.

My question is: would a book club be of interest to any of you? It wouldn't have to be a monthly thing ic-ly, quite a few of the meetings could be handwaved, but every now and then there could be a party post to discuss a book (and I'd put up polls so you guys can pick what book our characters would be reading)! I think it could be a nice way to generate some interesting CR and keep paying homage to Wonderland's library.

I have the same problem I had with this the first time you suggested it. Way too many of my characters would be there and it's not fair.

I sincerely don't see anything unfair about this, but that's because I'm greedy. You could always rotate them, one character per meeting depending on the book?

It's true my characters all have very different tastes in books and are generally too busy to read the stuff that doesn't interest them. Spike calls dibs on poetry.

I like that this will also by necessity be an ooc book club I mean obviously we can get by on google/cliffs notes whatever but if we really want our characters to discuss it right....

also shana get out crystal and i were talking about forming an ooc book club that works something like this!! i would really love it.

WE COULD OOC CHAT ON SKYPE/DISCORD THEN OUR CHARACTERS COULD CHAT

I really want it bc I'm bad at reading non-fiction but my characters aren't and forces myself to expand my horizons through rp I guess
