Character plot
Hi guys! I mentioned in the plot post for the last event that after things went back to normal, Kaneki would be going a little crazy with hunger. He will attack any humans (or beings roughly analogous to humans and/or in human bodies) he comes across, trying to feed. If anyone's interested in having a character follow up on Rocket's post about cannibals from the memory-swap event, this is the chance! :>
I've put up an open log here, so anyone who wants to jump in can. However, I wanted to offer this OOC plot post as well in case anyone wanted to make use of it (since I don't have a Plurk account, this will be the easiest way for anyone who wants to be involved, but wants to hash things out first to do so).
There are a few ways that an encounter with berzerk!Kaneki can go, depending on the other character's powers/skills/constitution:
1. Kaneki tries to attack and his prey either runs away or beats him off without injury.
2. Kaneki attacks and injures, but doesn't kill his victim.
3. Kaneki attacks and kills his victim.
4. Kaneki attacks and his would-be victim shows him what for.
5. Kaneki attacks and his would-be victim kills his ass.
So while Kaneki will try to eat at least a little of anyone he encounters, that isn't the only possible outcome of running into him, so anyone interested in running into him, but not in injury or death, is absolutely welcome to tag into the log. Just let me know your preferences for how the encounter should go down either here or through PM.
I currently have no plans for how this escapade will end, but if no one volunteers to stop him, he will eventually be sated enough to come to his senses on his own.
If anyone is interested in stop[ing him, here is a little info about ghouls that might be helpful. Ghouls can't be injured by normal weapons, so regular blades, bullets, etc. won't do much good. They're roughly 3-4 times stronger than a normal human, but a very stong human (or a super-powered/supernatural type person who is normally much stronger than a human) would be able to use blunt force attacks to stall or stop one. They're also at least that much faster than humans.
Lastly, ghouls have an extra appendage called a kagune that they can produce or retract at will. Kaneki's looks like this--it's like three tentacle like appendages that come out of the right side of his lower back. This particular type can cut through most normal substances, but can also be used like a prehensile tail or a blunt weapon, depending on the circumstances.
Since supernatural powers don't feature in Kaneki's canon, there's more flexibility with those. I'm fine with him being killed if someone has a character who's capable of doing so (I'm sure that about half of the people currently in the Mansion would be capable of it).
I'm happy to figure things out with anyone who wants to be involved. I'm also happy to answer any questions anyone might have. :3
