Meet Victor Frankenstein from the series Penny Dreadful, that show about morally-challenged book characters hanging out and basically jamming out to Monster Mash. (Imagine Once Upon a Time with more entrails.)

Victor here is a 20-something genius who decided he didn't want to study literature half as much as he wanted to learn how to revive the dead, and surprise, surprise, he pulled it off. Goodbye, laws of nature, hello, God complex! When he's not studying cadavers and doing the doctor thing, he's working as an amateur vampire hunter with Mina Murray's dad and Abraham Van Helsing, which is a fucking stressful side gig, let him tell you. Besides being a workaholic with his nose in the books, he has two major settings: snarky and broody. But for all of that, he's actually a pretty tender-hearted guy who means well and wants to meet people who don't think he's a lunatic freak for once. If you need a doctor on call, he's your guy. He's also a big fan of Percy Shelley and has no clue his wife outed his secret monster-making hobby, so that'll be fun...

He'll be coming into the game with his vampire-hunting companion Vanessa Ives (SEE HER AWESOMENESS BELOW), so expect to see them out and about sometime soon! I look forward to the "FRANKENSTEIN, U SRS?" shenanigans to come. :'D

OMG, I don't know the canon at all, but zombies. HE'D GET A SCIENCE BONER SO QUICK, I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE. Not to mention she's a woman with the same credentials as himself, THAT IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE. Victorians weren't that great about equality in the workplace...

Everybody should pile into the clinic and get a job, then regale the patients with horrific tales of zombies and monsters. :'D

I'm SO sad we don't have a Once Upon A Time Frankenstein anymore, because you can never have enough Frankensteins, but as I already have and probably repeatedly will be yelling at Ree I am just ridiculously excited to have a Penny Dreadful cast here.
