Hullo everyone! Athena (Xigbar and Lexaeus-mun) here with a new character, Tir McDohl from the [Genso] Suikoden series. Tir is the hero of the first game (and hidden character in the sequel). He's actually one of those silent protagonist types, but he's fairly easy to figure out. Oh, and while his name is unofficial, it's widely accepted as a default name since it's used in the Japanese novelization.
Prior to the first game, Tir was a fun-loving boy who aspired to be like his father, an imperial general. However, those plans fell apart when his best friend entrusted to him one of the 27 True Runes, the Rune of Life and Death. The Rune, more widely known as Soul Eater because of its negative effects on its bearer, became a focal point around a country-wide war, with Tir [reluctantly] heading the rebellion. As the game progresses, Tir becomes more withdrawn and serious as he realizes that Soul Eater has been devouring the souls of those close to him, and he finally leaves the country after the war. He can be seen in Suikoden II, forever youthful because of his True Rune.
Anyhow, long story short, Tir's a serious, forgiving young man that is still struggling to come to terms with the great weight of his Rune despite having had it for about seven years now. He looks like a teenager but is in his mid-twenties now, and his hobbies have included pulling pranks, practicing with his staff, and fishing.
Man, I'm long-winded tonight. XD; Please add him if you don't mind.
