I feel like we got a LOT of interest when I plurked about a Youth Center, so in an effort to expand beyond my plurklist let's brainstorm here. I think it's really important for anyone to feel like they can add to this which is why I'm posting it with as open a format as I can. The images below are just there to serve as inspiration for the possibilities of the youth center in an abstract way so that nobody feels tied down to any single format!

TL;DR brainstorm kid stuff here! Feel free to comment straight to the post if you're mulling over / straight brainstorming. Otherwise, comment to each top level with what you/your character would like to see -- no pressure, let's just see if we can keep things kind of organized enough to help jumpstart ideas.

Large or small, general or detailed -- add whatever you'd think would be cool in terms of STUFF that you can find in the center here!

Bean bags? A closet full of kigurumi options? A soda/ice cream bar? Trampoline room? Go bananas!

Hi! Yes. If you guys want we can attach this to Billy's giant theater room. So they can take that over on movie night or game night cuz I don't think too many people use the theater and it's AWESOME so they should. /nods.

TABLE TOP ITEMS

-- A bunch of tables to use for small groups or that can be pushed together for one big group
-- A wall lined with shelves of various board games / dice games / table top games from various worlds
-- Score-keeping scratch paper and golf pencils/crayons etc

ARCADE oh my god ellie will be all over it since she's been searching for this One Game like, her whole little life. we need to have an arcade.

also, she'll be psyched to have a place to hang out with the other kids, because sometimes wonderland's adult population is weird and depressing??

Once Peter gets his hands on a camera, he can take pictures of activities and people and events and stuff!!

They can hang on the walls like at a bulletin board which shows like recent fun activities or on any wall that they might want to hang pictures up on to remember their fun times!

A soda/ice cream bar would be amazing.

Seconding the above about Max! Alex here is every pretentious college film student stereotype rolled into one disagreeable package, so he's definitely the sort to loudly critique every single picture Peter takes. Sorry Peter.

But really it could be a way more curated library than the normal one... people can bring their favorite books (or movies etc) to share with other people and read stuff from other worlds.

Unorganized and always available, this is a place to brainstorm THINGS TO DO that are just always available for use.

Put a karaoke section next to some bowling lanes. A laser tag room opposite the art area! A room with slick floors and a baller sound system where you can dance your heart out or rollerskate under the disco ball?? Yesss.

This is inspired by Elle's game night comment, but maybe something along the lines of a broadened Culture Night? Where every once in a while someone's home world is showcased: their favorite foods, the activities they're accustomed to doing, the music that's popular there, etc. It can be another way of getting people to know each other.

WEH this is such a beautiful idea really, what a great way to share with others like how a person's world is and what they love most, really get to know each other .-. I SAY I AM ALL FOR THIS IDEA.

Dipper is gonna be organizing a mass camp out night when spring hits! Ghost stories and s'mores and tents and NO GROWN-UP SUPERVISION. WHOOO.
