I'm trying to be a little subtle/cagey about some stuff about him (even though everyone probably already knows or has guessed most of it or has gleaned it from the app, but SHHHH.)

(also, it's okay, I think I can handle it! It's kinda awkward, but it does accomplish pretty much exactly what I wanted, which is to establish that the Batter is truly relentless and remorseless…and at this point it looks like there'll be witnesses to it, too. So much the better.)
